Which was a rather foolish thing to do considering that Phlagellum is a Jovian, or Gas Giant planet. The spaceship is sucked into it's core.
However, the copious amounts of added mass to the planet's core caused it to collapse in on itself, turning it into a smaller, barren terrestrial planet not unlike a young Earth. It's gaseous ring dissipates into space.
