So steam uninstalled itself from my computer... Except it didn't. A couple of days ago when I tried to launch steam it kept giving me an error relating to the application not being linked to anything.
>Computer
>Program Files
>No steam
Ok, that's cool. I'll just reinstall- BUT WAIT. STEAM IS ALREADY INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER.
Ohohohoho.
So Dinnerman sent me a message. Steam chat pops up. I am able to view my friends by clicking my icon and going to my profile.
But that's funny... SEEING AS HOW STEAM ITSELF AND THE FOLDERS RELATING TO IT ARE NOT ON MY FUCKING COMPUTER AND I CAN'T LAUNCH IT NORMALLY.
So I did what all computer experts do: Restart the computer. So once everything got booted up, I tried to launch steam again. This time a "Updating Steam" window popped up.
And I waited.
And nothing happened.
And I waited.
And Steam is already installed on your computer.
Try to launch again but SAME THING. So for the past couple of days I've had to wait until someone sent me a message or go to the website in order to do anything steam related.
BUT TODAY, THE UPDATE FINALLY DID SOMETHING.
OH YES.
IT INSTALLED ALL OF THE STEAM FILES ONTO MY DESKTOP.
AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT IT DID AFTER THAT?
AFTER I TRIED TO LAUNCH THE PROGRAM?
WHICH HAD JUST BEEN "INSTALLED"?
ANOTHER INSTALLATION WINDOW POPPED UP.
AND IT DID IT AGAIN.
Try to uninstall steam?
NOPE, JUST GONNA STARE AT AN INFINITELY NON RESPONSIVE WINDOW.
Try to remove manually?
NOPE, JUST GONNA STARE AT AN INFINITELY NON RESPONSIVE REMOVING TO RECYCLE BIN WINDOW.
How the fuck did this even happen to begin with.
