You arrive, at fucking long last. There's four individually small cabins, along with two larger ones. You don't see anybody else around, they're probably inside.

WHERE GO FIRST?

You knock on the door of one of the cabins. The door seems really solid.

"Dammit, always when I'm working on something"

"Sorry, I'll just go and..."

"What? Who the hell?"

You go over and try the other big cabin. This one is locked. And probably empty, by that logic.

The door to the other big cabin opens behind you.

"Who the hell are you and why are you trying to get into the supply shed?"

>Tell Zach that Jacob brought you here, and that you really have no idea what you're doing.

"Jakob brought me here, actually. I don't know where anything is or what I'm doing."

"Fair enough, I guess. I GUESS."

"So...What is that place?"

"Just my workshop. I forge stuff in there, mostly."

"Forging? The hell do you have to forge in a forest?"

"Stuff, generally. Once again, its the forest. We get attacked by forest animals because forest animals are dickbags. Put two and two together."

Yeah what the hell is with this guy. Half of his face is covered in bandages, and he forges weapons. In a cabin.

Instead of listening to anything else this guy has to say, you run off to collect wood. You're in a FOREST, it can't be that hard.

Upon finding a tree, you employ your WOOD-GATHERING SKILLS, gotten from videogames. Which is to say, you punch the hell out of the tree.

You're pretty sure you just broke the hell out of your hand instead.

I assumed the forest creatures were minecraft mobs and the guy was forging stuff on a shitty bench made of four blocks of wood and that this was actually minecraft. Looks like I was wrong!

He walks back to the workshop/forge/whatever. You follow suite.

Inside, there is another girl, sitting around and doing nothing in particular.

"What happened, did he get attacked?"

"No, he broke his dumbass hand trying to punch a tree."

"Hey, in my defense-""Oh. Well, come here, I'll fix it.

You oblige, and she grabs your hand.

"Now just hold still..."

Her hands glow for a moment. When the glow stops, your hand is cured. Still hurts like hell though. The functional magic has proved your other ideas wrong, this isn't a videogame, this person just naturally has a high WISDOM stat, and thus has an affinity for healing and defensive magic.

He goes off to forge...Whatever you just asked for.

"Dammit. I guess that's related to the magic(k) you were doing. I guess he could do that too?"

"Not quite, really. It's...A little different with him."

"So...When do I get to learn magic? Can you teach me a bit of that?"

"It doesn't exactly work like that. You gotta choose a class first, and then an element to go with the class. It's pretty complicated"

"Aaaaaaaaaand? I don't see any complications here."

"Fine, fine. Just close your eyes and hold still."
