A Song of Ice and Fire

The A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R.R. Martin are a pretty cool dude. It centres around politics, war, supernatural monsters and a lot of sex scenes. The series is told in the third-person through the eyes of a number of point of view characters, 31 by the end of the fifth book.

If you've read it discuss how awesome it is here, if you haven't but plan on reading it I recommend avoiding spoilers as much as possible. Also, if you're posting spoilers from A Dance with Dragons (the newest book in the series) please put them in spoiler tags.
