And, again, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
This is a great album. I'll probably check out Siamese Dream next (also by Smashing Pumpkins)

Re: what choo lisnin too the sequel
Listening to Parachutes by Coldplay, and I've finally realized why I liked this album so much.
I liked it because it's not a fucking Coldplay album. When Coldplay first came around, they were heavily influenced by Radiohead-the lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin even admitted that he was trying to sing like Thom Yorke. And well, that's what they did. Coldplay didn't make a Coldplay album, they made a Radiohead album. The whole thing sounds like it's disc two of The Bends, with the exception of Yellow, which sounds like it should be on Pablo Honey.
In all fairness though, they did a great job. Mimicking Radiohead or not (they were), this is still good shit.
In some ways, I have to respect them for it too-it's damn hard to imitate another artist's style, and they did a really, really good job. Not to say that the album is completely unoriginal-there's definitely some stuff that seems more Coldplay than Radiohead, and obviously they didn't just steal from the band.

Re: what choo lisnin too the sequel
With all due respect to David Bowie:
Nirvana's The Man Who Sold The World>Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World
I know he made the song, but the song feels more believable from Kurt Cobain's mouth. The emotions Kurt Cobain was going through when they preformed the song, well... he found everything boring. He was no longer enjoying his music. The way I've found his thoughts described from the period before his suicide must of been as though he had essentially sold the world. Like he regretted the path he had followed in life.
Not to say that both versions aren't great; they are. And certainly not to say that Bowie's version wasn't believable, or that it was meaningless to him.
Either way, it's a great song. I just like Nirvana's Cover more than the original.

Re: what choo lisnin too the sequel
Gorillaz-Demon Days
I love Radiohead, but it's a bit of relief to find myself able to listen to something else for the first time in months. It's very refreshing.
I did listen to more than just Radiohead, but usually when I get really into music I get a strange feeling of pure awesome, and this has finally happened with a band that isn't Radiohead for the first time since Spring of last year or so, or whenever I listened to After The Gold Rush for the first time.
Sorry if what I wrote above isn't completely intelligible, I'm tired and slightly disoriented. I just edited it a bit, and it should
