Decemberween/The Future

I put up the winter theme today, and I realized, with a bit of sadness, that this will be the last time I do this. I guess we're on the home stretch.

My life without Hello-Operator will be a little strange, I suspect. This place has been an online home for me, and I have greatly enjoyed partaking in its upkeep and participating in the community as we all journeyed through adolescence and/or adulthood together. You guys have been with me through my worst and best times, to support me and poke fun at me respectively, and I will, without a doubt, miss having that. You're all wonderful people, and I sincerely wish you the best in your endeavors.

Being the administrator of this forum has been a good experience as well as a learning one, and I'm very glad that I got to have it. It's been interesting "leading" a group of people--sometimes ham-fistedly--and trying to decide what's fair in our more straining points in time. I hope you guys have felt that I've been at least reasonable in my decisions, and that you've enjoyed taking part in this community as much as I have.

I love you all. I hope we can make these next, last few months good ones, if at all possible.

Hey guys I am the most wasted I've ever been but I can't sleep cuz a lot of drama shit has judt gone on with my friends so I'mma type this now because I couldn't think of what to write before.

I really respect and love all of you because of the trust and love you've given me over the years, being there for me and forgiving me for being an asshole when shit's gone on IRL, I've never been that confident in myself as a person, but whenever I've thought I wasn't really worth anything I just remeber you and think of how much you've cared about me regardless of never meeting me irl, and about how much you've impacted my life and how much I seem to have impacted yours. Thanks guys, I love you all. :')

Like I've mentioned before, I have both a terraria and minecraft server, if you guys ever want to get back together for a few days and screw around.

Yeah, I get that feeling.

This winter is a metaphorical winter, it is when we as leaves have fallen from our trees...we've been covered in a dusting of snow and it's hard for us to see each other anymore...but we know, in this tundra that we call life, that someone out there is also frozen. 

Perhaps we will have a new spring, but this winter we're experiencing as a group is a doozy. I will be sad to see us go, but instead of mourning the loss, I'm celebrating the life we once had. The life we may have again, but time doesn't go backwards..we'll never be who we were. That's life :)

Tat, you did a good job. I don't think there's much you could have done to prevent what is happening, and you've been fair through the process. 

I still like the idea of a LTAN around xmas time :)

i still have the feeling in the back of my mind that we will persevere forever but that is straight up naive at this point probably

agree. tat has been an amazing ringleader of this ragtag buncha misfits, and he's done some pretty great stuff making this forum the best place for 7 people to talk it can be. at least, if it had been anyone else in charge, i'd have been kicked out years ago lol

but for real, he's been as nice and fair as he can be even when level was being controversial or when mr. mod here got into cranky reactionary douche mode. he's a truly great person and i wish him nothing less than the best.

Yeah, off the top of my head I can't think of any decisions about the forum Tateos has made that I would call a mistake at all. GJ on being a 10/10 leader and 10/10 friend, buddy <3

I'm with jon, I see this place lasting forever. We'll always have something we have to say to each other, those moments are just getting more and more spaced apart.

I've got little less than a year to figure out how to pay for our domain name, but once I figure it out I should be able to afford to pay the upkeep on it to keep our posts alive. 20 bucks a year aint bad
