This thread is for organizing little HO gaming sessions.

Lately I've been thinking about starting a game of Civ V together. Who here has the game?

I've got Civ 5. I'd be down to do some multiplayer sometime, although I've only played it once or twice and don't really know what I'm doing.

Civ 5 for what platform?

On PC. Through steam.

I got Civ 3 and 4 for PC, but sadly not 5. 

I'll try to sneak it out of next paycheck but we'll see :) That rahvin goes to court thing is still happening in my life, but thats a different story and its almost over.

It would be great to have a civ 5 campaign with you guys, I love me some Aztecs

Oh man, I really need to get civ 5. I can put money into my paypal account soon and help pay for a copy. I know Tat offered to attempt to get me a copy of civ 5, which is extremely kind, and if you want to go through with that at some point I can paypal you some $$ to help with the process.

I found the OG Ace of Spades, the f2p version. It goes by Build n' Shoot now, no viruses whatsoever.

We could play that as it's very fps and computer friendly and doesn't cost money.

holy moly the last time i played that was like three years ago in the very short time between me having no computer and me having a computer with linux instead of w7

as for me playing video games i pretty much never do that nowadays, mostly i just play pool and poker when i have free time

I have been a bad kid today.

I went and purchased Civ 5 on steam.

Downloading now, installing later, learning how to play it tonight.

THIS SHIT IS HAPPENING. And now, so that I don't feel so shitty about blowing 30 bucks I shouldn't have spent, instead of getting bacon breakfast which was my original goal for today, i'm going to clean the house.

That way its like I'm just paying myself a pretty decent rate to work. Work I had to do anyway, but now I feel super energized to go do this. hopefully my laptop can handle civ 5 lol

i feel bad that i didn't get it for you, but we haven't been in the best condition financially lately and i doubt my parents would have gone for it and also i don't have a job myself

No worries tat, you're a young guy. you shouldn't be giving me free stuff, especially expensive free stuff. 

The sentiment is worth more than the game. I'm gonna play a couple of rounds and figure out what's new and what's changed and how to do stuff, but then I'm coming for you. In a peaceful way obv. I am probably the nicest civilization you've come across, I'll give you money and tech and luxuries and resources and all you gotta do is not kill me :P

That's how I've won every game so far, just be hella nice to most of the civs.


Also, I picked up state of decay cuz it was cheap. I'M SO NAUGHTY.
