There is a potential flaw in this: If Deoxys uses Protect, won't that make it invulnerable to Shuckle's Guard Split? Plus since Shuckle has horrible speed there's no way it could use Guard Split before the other team takes out Deoxys.walkinator wrote:And like I said, shuckle. Start out the double battle with Shuckle and Deoxys. Deoxys uses protect (learned via TM) and Shuckle uses guard split on Deoxys. that way, Dyoxys survives the first hit, because it's defense sucks. Shuckle should also survive because it has massive defense and special defense. On the second turn, if all goes well, you will have a pokemon with 210 (or more) HP, up to 504 attack or special attack, a little over 327 defense and special defense, and up to 438 speed.

You will go first in almost all cases unless trick room, a priority move, or a status problem comes into play. Since priority can cause flinching, use a held item to prevent that. There are only a few pokemon that have the potential to be faster than a speed EV trained Attack Deoxys. Be wary of Shedinja, it can rape your ass. Of course, the 3 attack moves for the Deoxys should all be powerful, accurate, and they should take every type combination into account. Always attack the more threatening enemy pokemon first and attack enemies with a greater chance of having protect or detect second. It would be very useful to find a way to regenerate Deoxys' heath, so use a shell bell if you don't want to protect it from flinching.
